ANTHROCON 2008

In 2008, I am planning on going to AnthroCon! I will be getting a dealer's table, and dealers can start submitting their applications this Saturday, November 10th.

Are there any other dealers out there? I'd like to request my table next to someone I know, rather than be placed randomly about the room. I love love love drawing for people and meeting folks, but in the slow periods it helps to have someone to chat and joke around with.

MIDWEST FURFEST 2007

I am going to try to be in Artist Alley at Midwest FurFest! I am working on Friday, but I should be there Saturday and Sunday. (No more time off! :/)

I expect there to be an enormous amount of artists. There will likely be more artists than tables, so I understand they are going to have a lottery system. Depending on how many artists sign up, there is a chance I may not get a table during the day on Saturday or Sunday--or possibly both days. In that case, I would try to get a table in Artist Alley on Friday and Saturday evenings.

So basically, poke your head in Friday night, and if I'm not there during the day on Saturday, try poking around Saturday evening. If I am not there on Sunday, leave a message for me on the message board (or if you really, really, really want art from me, e-mail or note me now and we can trade contact info. We'll meet up during the convention.)


ART PROGRESS

My art output has just been very, very sad this year. I place the blame on World of Warcraft, and my inability to get my duff in gear. That's right, it's my own darned fault.

Some folks have expressed concern over my silence, and I do appreciate that very much. I am still here, and I will fully honor all of my obligations. I've been cutting back on WoW and doing more drawing. I don't know how soon I will have stuff out.

But, so that I don't fall out of habit entirely, I am going to do what some artists do, and try to at least do a sketch a day. I don't know if I'll scan and post all of these sketches, but it should keep my ability honed.


As far as all else goes, life has been just dandy! Life is happy and fine and really no problems to report.

Hey all! I'm sorry I've been so quiet lately. There has been a lot going on, lately.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to cancel going to Mephit FurMeet (MFM). I'm a little upset that we didn't plan things better, because I really was looking forward to going and seeing my friends!!

We just moved on the 18th. Mistletoe and I forgot how expensive moving can sometimes be. We were hit kind of hard, there. Because I also haven't really done *anything* new to sell since AnthroCon of 2006, most of you that have visited my table in the past probably already have all you want. Doing sketchbooks helps, but I anticipate that overall we'd lose money by going. These days, I need to at least break even for the trip to be financially worth it. We need food and a roof over our heads more than we need to go to the convention. :/

Mistletoe's birthday is on September 2nd, and she'd like to share her birthday with some friends who also are not going to MFM. She also had a paw-fasting ceremony at MFM with Daliwolf, who is also not going to MFM this year. I think it's important that Mistletoe and Dali have that first anniversary. It really is a special date! (I've gone to MFM without Mistletoe in the past, but she is a LOT of fun to have around, and I'd just miss my snowshoe hare too much!)

(Mistletoe, Dali and I are polyamorous, and have been for many years. Polyamory means "many loves", and it's reeaaaallly tricky to get working right, and takes an *insane* amount of hard work. It is definitely NOT for everybody. If you have questions about it, please contact me privately (e-mail, note, IM). Thanks! )

And on top of it all, we were going to take the 1999 Mercury Sable wagon to MFM. The car said, "I don't think so!!" We really need to have the brakes fixed, and we think we may need a transmission repair/replacement. Mistletoe is going to make appointments Monday morning. Fuck. >

P.S. I really, really, really hope I will make at least *part* of Midwest FurFest (MFF) in Schaumburg, IL this November, the weekend before the United States Thanksgiving. (That is, the convention will be on November 16th through the 18th.) Hopefully I'll at least go to *a* single convention this year.

Hey all!

Looks like I cleared the issue at work. I'll be going to Midwest FurFest! Woo! You can find me in Artist Alley.

So, I will be there Thursday night, Friday, and Saturday, and very early on Sunday. Sunday, I will have to go into work and do some testing as we are moving some servers that affect my business world-wide, so there's no getting out of that one. It may be just a couple of hours to eight or nine hours. Testing starts at 1:00PM CST, and my work is about 1-1.5 hours away in good traffic.

Testing could take just a couple of hours, though it's been known to run eight or nine with serious issues. Hopefully I'm not stuck at work till 10:00PM CST on the 19th, as that would suck. Either way, I decided I'll come back to the hotel and I'd be leaving the convention Monday morning.

All of this means that I'll be in Artist Alley Friday and Saturday, but very likely NOT Sunday. This also means that you shouldn't slack off if you want to say hi to me! If you really want to have me do a sketch, show up first thing on Friday.
